Q: Hi, do you have any simple, understated necklace ideas?  I’d like to find a necklace that’s not what everyone else has, but I just don’t like wearing huge necklaces.

A: Sure!  I recently attended a private party at Cerato Boutique, where I was able to view the latest pieces they had in store from Chicago designers (and sip cocktails, but that’s besides the point!).  They also had an event this past Saturday, so if you missed it, be sure to attend their next one.  Anyway, they had some raffles going on, of which I was lucky to win this adorable lariat necklace by Jules.

It’s pretty understated — I wore it out for a fun day of (what else?) shopping.  There’s also this half oxidized chain necklace, if you’re looking for something longer.

For something dainty, this wave pendant necklace by JKat Jewelry is simple, yet striking with its curved points and delicate chain.

This silver tassel necklace is also striking and delicate.  You really don’t see too many necklaces with tassel-like pieces that aren’t large statement pieces, so this one is a rare find.
