Q: Do you have any alternate ideas for a coat during the fall months? I hate wearing a coat as it covers my outfits, but not really sure what else I could wear.
A: Yes, it is so annoying to cover your awesome outfit with a coat, yet we just can’t afford to go without one here! While it’s still “in-between” weather, you could get away with wearing a vest over your sweater. This one by LaRok is great because you’re also incorporating the furry fall trend.
You could also opt for a thicker, wrap sweater over a cute, lightweight top. That way you could take the sweater off it’s too hot, but you still look trendy and can keep warm at the same time. Here’s a sweater “coat”/wrap: (Also check out these other sweater examples.)
Most of the time, I do like wearing a coat that covers a long sweater or dress. Sometimes a cropped jacket could be cute with a longer sweater, if it’s incorporated into your outfit, like this sequin biker jacket is with the long top and skinny jeans:
As it gets colder out, and you have to wear a coat, again I’d recommend buying a coat that’s just as stylish as your outfits, but also functional and wearable on a daily basis, like these by L.A.M.B. (LOOOVVVEE this one!) or Nanette Lepore.
