Q: You mentioned Fall 2010 fashion trends last week, what about accessories?
A: I mentioned that clogs will be in this fall. Over-the-knee/thigh-high boots will still be around. Not such a good option for shorter women, but other than that, the longer length boot provides much-needed extra warmth during winter. You’ll also see a lot of lace-up work booties (which are fine, as are the clogs, if you’re on the shorter side):
As far as bags, the satchel is all the rage lately as classic, glamorous looks are making a comeback. Keep in mind though that satchels are usually not worn on the shoulder and have a small opening between the straps and bag, so you most likely won’t be able to get it on your shoulder with a fall coat on (if you could even without the coat). So if you like a bag to be on your shoulder, try the “heritage” or rectangular envelope shaped bag this fall. This one is ironically by Halston Heritage:
Also if you’re a big fur lover, fur is back in, so accessorizing with it could be cute. You just don’t want to go overboard and look like Smokey the Bear walking down the street. What do you think of these boots with this dress?

I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to get into clogs again – I was obsessed in high school and that was enough for me
But give me booties and gorgeous bags any day!
