For this week’s Lookbook, you’re all in for a treat, as this past Saturday I had the privilege of attending the Evil Kitty Trunk Show at the Chicago Fashion Incubator at the 900 Shops on Michigan Ave. For those of you unfamiliar with Evil Kitty, the line has two distinct personalities: one is fun and playful, the other is sleek and classy. Evil Kitty’s playful side can be seen in the lookbook of skirts below:
From left to right, Evil Kitty’s signature kitty tutu skirt, girly skull skirt, red patch mini, and the latest deconstructed mini. Obviously, these skirts aren’t for those who like to “blend in”. Evil Kitty’s target audience are strong, independent women who like to stand out in the crowd. Plus they’re fun! Who doesn’t love having something fun to wear in their wardrobe?
Evil Kitty is known for being playful, and playful the show was! Four models walked around the event dressed as characters from “Alice in Wonderland” in the latest Evil Kitty designs. There were two Alice characters; plus the Queen of Hearts and the White Queen as shown in the first slide below with designer, Lidia Wachowska (center in her own lace mini dress design. During the event, models (pictured) and customers alike had fun taking their own photo shoots throughout the show.
But Evil Kitty has a serious side too. Both the dresses below with designer, Lidia Wachowska, can be worn to work or to a more conservative event. The dress on the left is more structured as the white material is actually denim, whereas the creme dress on the right is made with a lighter weight material and thus has a softer feel. Evil Kitty also makes blazers and pencil skirts with a little something extra. The blazer (top, right) has stripes with a light sheen to them, and the pencil skirt (bottom, right) has adjustable zippers, so you can show off the hot pink lining, or keep it covered in a more conservative setting.
Stay tuned tomorrow for Q&A with designer, Lidia Wachowska, and check out Evil Kitty whether you’re looking to add something fun or polished, casual or dressy to your wardrobe! Plus now until June 1st you can get 20% off by entering promo code: VIOLET20 at checkout!
