Sometimes girls just want to have fun. And shop, of course. What better way to do this, and support local Chicago designers, than to bring them all together in one place for shopping, socializing, drinks, and freebies.
If you love all of the above, you should attend one of Maison De Couture’s trunk shows. The shows offer the opportunity to purchase unique items from indie designers plus get your hands on amazing freebies and be entered into a raffle to win prizes. You can also score complimentary drinks. Yes, that’s right, complimentary drinks. There are also complimentary beauty services. Massages were offered at this event. Plus if you spent just $10, you receive a goodie bag filled with a bunch of fun stuff such as makeup, hair accessories, and a cute t-shirt, to name a few.
I had fun at their recent show at Adobo Grill in Old Town. Adobo has awesome margaritas, so I couldn’t pass up those! But on top of that, you could shop jewelry, clothes, hair accessories and more! Here’s photos of some of the designers’ goods:
At Objets d’Envy, I couldn’t even get a photo as so many women were gathered around picking out jewelry (didn’t think you wanted to see a photo of women looking at earrings…not very exciting), so I put a few pic’s below of my favorite pieces at the event (click on them to purchase online):
Here’s a photo of Kate Boggiano’s clothing line,
which includes blouses, jackets, dresses, tank tops, and more. Her line focuses on high-quality, staple pieces essential for every woman’s wardrobe. You can also log onto her website and create your own blouse! Below are some of the newest spring arrivals you can find on her site:
Another exhibitor at the event was Stiletto Squad which had cute, fun clothes for a steal. No joke. The skirt in the below photo was $20 and the dress, $30. To wear for a fun night out…how could you go wrong there?
If you don’t want to miss out on the next event, sign up on Maison de Couture!
