On one hand, they remind me of something similar I’ve seen in the 80’s and have been compared to those parachute pants popular in the early 90’s. On the other hand, they look really comfortable, and wearable either casually or dressy. Plus one modification I’ve noticed recently is there now seems to be more streamlined options vs. when they initially came out. Good news, considering the bagginess at the hip (not to mention in the crotch), could be potentially unflattering. Take a look at this pair…

One thing to watch out for though for the remainder of winter is to not pair them with too high of a boot. A bootie or shoetie is fine, but if you wear a knee-high or OTK boot, they could start to look like riding, aka jockey, pants or worse, a pirate look.
